"The City of Djinns" - Delhi mesmerizes you with its tourist attractions that embody colonial legacies, ancient monuments and modern infrastructure. Historians believe, there were seven cities that flourished on this soil and were destroyed due to different reasons. The present day Delhi is supposedly the eight such city.
Tourist attractions such as the Red Fort, Jama Masjid and Chandini Chowk in Old Delhi freshen up your memory with impressions of royal days. The name Khuni Darwaza was bestowed on this gate because when Dara Shikoh was murdered by Emperor Aurangzeb, his head was hung on this gateway for public viewing. Legend has it that blood drips from this gate during the rainy season even today.
